Wanna be a Traveling Bard DM? Do this first:
You Need the Basics:
Every DM needs the following supplies before they start their DM-ing journey.
Have all that? GREAT! Let's move on to the next thing!
Building Your Reputation:
Once you have this move on to the next step!
Being accepted as a Traveling Bard Studios DM!
Once you have all of the above copied, fill out our DM application, and attach the required documents to the form, and we will contact you once you have been accepted as a Dungeon Master.
Time to Run Adventures:
Once you have been accepted as a Dungeon Master you will from time to time receive jobs via text or email!
If you are interested, reply back, we will set you up if the job is still open at the time of you replying back!
Jobs range from corporate events and conventions to campaigns set up in public and private spaces. When an opportunity presents itself, you have the ability to accept or decline it. Pay ranges from minimum wage to up to $50 per hour.
Why is there such a big difference in pay ranges?
Sometimes we work with nonprofit organizations such as youth groups, libraries, and community programs. These programs typically take less time and are completely preplanned for our DM's. So, little to no outside prep is required for our DM's to run an awesome and successful game. Also, The Traveling Bard Studios believes that it is our duty to give back to our communities when and where we can. (All for one and one for all!) So, we give these programs heavy discounts on the services that we provide as one of the ways we give back!
Shape Your Destiny:
The more active you are as a professional DM for The Traveling Bard Studios the more jobs you will be offered! You control how many opportunities come your way! All size jobs are important to us here at The Traveling Bard Studios! They help build your portfolio and your reputation in the TTRPG community (that includes us), regardless of pay size.
However, if we see that you have turned down 10 or more opportunities within a calendar year, we will assume that being a Professional DM isn't for you and your contract with us will be terminated. You will then have to wait 1 calendar year from the date of your termination before you may reapply to become a professional DM.

- Flexibility: Be adaptable in scheduling and session styles to accommodate diverse player preferences and table sizes! The Traveling Bard Studios does its best to ensure no tables exceed 10 players. We expect our DMs to be able to DM for tables for a minimum or 3 players but no more than 10 players when needed.
- Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships within the D&D community to enhance your visibility and credibility and stay positive during your games outside of or provided by The Traveling Bard Studios! We want our DMs to be requested back! That means more gaming for all of us and more pay for you!
