Explorer! Your Adventure Awaits!

Are you ready to embark on epic quests and delve into dungeons with fellow adventurers? Fill out our TTRPG player form to Find a Table, join a TTRPG group, and start your journey today.

Your Adventure Begins Here:

Your quest begins by finding the right group for your playstyle and schedule. Don't worry though, once you fill out our Find a Table form, we will do the hard part for you! As soon as a table is available to accept new players you will be contacted via email and/or text to let you know! All you have to do after that is accept the quest to join the game! Then you get to dive into the realms of imagination and forge friendships that will last beyond the tabletop!

We Need Game Masters!

Are you a seasoned Game Master looking to turn your passion into a profession? Learn how you can offer your services as a paid GM and bring unforgettable adventures to life!

The Traveling Bard Studios only accepts the best of the best when it comes to Game Masters! We hold our players to high standards at the table and our GMs standards are just as high because we live by the rule
"No D&D is better than BAD D&D."

Our Game Masters have proven themselves to be competent, compassionate, driven, fair, and fun. They are ready to bring an amazing adventure to the table and understand the game to make all the tough calls when necessary.

Wanna be a Traveling Bard GM? Do this first:

You Need the Basics:
Every GM needs the following supplies before they start their GM-ing journey.
  • 1 GM Screen
  • TTRPG Dice (preferably MANY pairs!)
  • Dungeon Master Guide
  • Player's Handbook
  • A module to run or (if you are highly experienced) a homebrew campaign or one-shots.

Have all that? GREAT! Let's move on to the next thing!

Building Your Reputation:
  • Gain experience by GMing for friends or groups meeting at game stores near you!
  • As a player help your GM make good calls for the betterment of the party and story! Show that you are not only a team player but a leader who shares the spotlight!

Once you have this move on to the next step!

Being accepted as a Traveling Bard Studios GM!
  • You must be 18+ to preform work for The Traveling Bard Studios.
  • Provide one of the following forms of ID from the list here.
  • Fill out a 1099-NEC tax form.
  • Play 1 game with a TTBS GM so they can assess your abilities.

Once you have your documents together, fill out our GM application, attach the required documents to the form, and we will contact you about your test game once we have your application! Until then, follow the next steps to help speed up the process while you wait!

Time to Run Adventures:
First join our discord!
Join Our Discord!
Once you have been accepted as a Dungeon Master you will be able to accept gigs in discord or via text/email!
If you are interested, reply back, we will set you up if the gig is still open at the time of you replying back!

Gigs range from corporate events and conventions to campaigns set up in public and private spaces. When an opportunity presents itself, you have the ability to accept it! Pay ranges from $7.25 to up to $50 per hour.

Why is there such a big difference in pay ranges?
Sometimes we work with nonprofit organizations such as youth groups, libraries, and community programs. These programs typically take less time and are completely preplanned for our GM's. So, little to no outside prep is required for our GM's to run an awesome and successful game. Also, The Traveling Bard Studios believes that it is our duty to give back to our communities when and where we can. (All for one and one for all!) So, we give these programs heavy discounts on the services that we provide as one of the ways we give back!

Shape Your Destiny:
The more active you are as a professional GM for The Traveling Bard Studios the more gigs you will be offered! You control how many opportunities come your way! All size gigs are important to us here at The Traveling Bard Studios! They help build your portfolio and your reputation in the TTRPG community (that includes us), regardless of pay size.

However, if we see that you have turned down 10 or more opportunities within a calendar year, we will assume that being a Professional GM isn't for you and your contract with us will be terminated. You will then have to wait 1 calendar year from the date of your contract termination before you may reapply to become a professional GM.

Tips for Success:
  • Communication: Keep communication lines open with your parties and with us during the gigs to ensure clear expectations.
  • Flexibility: Be adaptable in scheduling and session styles to accommodate diverse player preferences and table sizes! The Traveling Bard Studios does its best to ensure no tables exceed 10 players. We expect our DMs to be able to DM for tables for a minimum or 3 players but no more than 10 players when needed.
  • Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships within the TTRPG community to enhance your visibility and credibility and stay positive during your games outside of or provided by The Traveling Bard Studios! We want our GMs to be requested back! That means more gaming for all of us and more pay for you!

Ready to Roll?
Whether you’re seeking a group to join or aiming to offer your services as a professional GM, dive into the world of TTRPGs with confidence. Start your adventure today!
**GM-ing jobs and opportunities only extended to residents of the state of Texas until further notice.**
